"Any Time" Submittals for Comprehensive Plan Amendments

At their March 5 meeting, Commissioners amended the Lee County Administrative Code to allow Lee Plan amendments to be submitted at any time during the year and reviewed as they are submitted. Click here to view the adopting resolution.

Sea Turtle nesting season May 1 - Oct. 31

Sea turtles are nesting on Lee County beaches. Two months later, the tiny hatchlings will emerge from the sand. Both adult sea turtles and their hatchlings use the seaward horizon as their guiding light and may be lured away from the water by artificial light visible from the beach. Click here to learn more.

From Lee County’s new interactive website at www.leecountytownhall.com residents can share opinions and ideas on Livable Lee – the implementation of New Horizon 2035 changes to the Lee Plan. Lee Plan Workshops

The comprehensive update of the Lee Plan – the broadest since its adoption in 1984 – is the subject of a series of workshops being held throughout Lee County in April and May.  In addition, residents may comment on proposed changes at any time by visiting www.LeeCountyTownHall.com.  Lee County Commissioners held a public workshop on Jan. 16, 2013.
