Please be advised that a public meeting has been scheduled for the 4th day of August 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in the Board of County Commissioners Hearing Chambers in the Lee County Courthouse, 2120 Main Street, in downtown Fort Myers, Florida. At this meeting the Board of County Commissioners will consider the adoption of a Resolution authorizing the exchange of Lee County public property for other real property owned by Juan Leon Abella.
THE PROPERTY TO BE RECEIVED BY THE COUNTY IS DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
A parcel of land lying in Section 16, Township 44 South, Range 25 East, Lee County, Florida being a part of the South ½ of the undivided Lot “B”, Block “D”, Golden Lake Heights Unit 2, recorded in Plat Book 23, Page 63, also being part of those lands described in Official Record Book 2656, Page 2456 of the Public Records of Lee County, Florida, and being more particularly described as follows:

THE PUBLIC PROPERTY TO BE EXCHANGED IS DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:
A tract or parcel of land located in Section 16, Township 44 South, Range 25 East, Lee County, Florida being more particularly described as follows:
Lot 1, Block D of Golden Lake Heights, Unit 2, according to the Plat thereof as recorded in Plat Book 23, Page 63, of the Public Records of Lee County, Florida.
Containing 5,700 square feet, more or less.
THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE EXCHANGE ARE AS FOLLOWS:
This exchange is being considered to accommodate the right of way needs of the Ortiz Avenue Widening Project No. 4072.
The conveyance of 5,700 square feet of County-owned land and $1,000, in exchange for 5,625 square feet of property, shall be the consideration for the transaction. The monetary costs include payment for landscaping and any potential damages to the owner’s “parent” tract.
