Code Enforcement

Inquiries or complaints concerning code violations may be made to Code Enforcement by email any time (CodeEnforcement@leegov.com)  or by calling 533-5895 between the hours of 7:30am and 5:00pm.  Complaints are investigated with minimal delay.  The activity code enforcement investigates includes the following:

  • Abandoned Vehicles
  • Blasting
  • Building Without Permits
  • Excavations
  • Licensed & Unlicensed Contractors
  • Lot Mowing
  • Rights of Way / Road Obstructions
  • Signs
  • Substandard Housing Conditions
  • Trash
  • Unsafe Buildings
  • Zoning / Illegal Land Use

Environmental Violations/Complaints

Environmental violations include the unpermitted clearing of trees or other vegetation, unpermitted dredging or filling of wetlands, and noncompliance with development approval requirements and protected species issues.  Environmental violations should be reported to the Division of Environmental Sciences, Environmental Codes and Enforcement staff member.

Noise complaints may be made directly to the Sheriff's office by calling 239-477-1000.

Complaints regarding illegal dumping and trash pick-up may be made by calling the Lee County Department of Solid Waste at 239-338-3302.
