Conventional Rezoning Process

For the conventional rezoning process, an applicant is required to submit:

  • Completed application, including sketch, legal description and STRAP number

  • Purpose of the rezoning

  • Name and address of property owners within 500 feet. (if less than 10 property owners then 750 feet)

  • Notarized authorization from property owner and disclosure form, if necessary

  • A fee pursuant to the county fee schedule

  • Site plans

  • Traffic studies

  • An environmental evaluation (if necessary)

The processing time and fee is greater for a conventional rezoning.  The average time to complete the conventional rezoning process is 11 weeks.  For further information, you may contact the Division of Development Services.
