Details: In September 2006 the Wachovia Building on Second Street in downtown Fort Myers was purchased for $12,500,000 and then was promptly renamed the Administration East Building. From the time of the acquisition through November 2011 many upgrades and renovations were performed on this building. Some of these upgrades include the replacement of the chiller, major roof repairs, modifications to the elevators and life/safety upgrades, complete renovations to the 1st, 3rd, 5th and 6th floors. The 2nd and 4th floors will be renovated to a gray box level which means air conditioning and life safety improvements will be installed. No interior finishes will be performed at this time. The Building and parking lots were purchased for $12,528,607. Major upgrades and renovations were done for a total cost of $12,372,084. The cost to acquire the facility and perform the upgrades and renovations is $24,900,691.
