A person with a 'disability' is an individual who:

  • has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more of his/her major life activities;

  • has a record of such an impairment; or

  • is regarded as having such an impairment

Major life activity is defined as follows:

  • Seeing

  • Hearing

  • Walking

  • Breathing

  • Performing manual tasks

  • Caring for one's self

  • Learning

  • Speaking

  • Working

Reasonable Modification:

Physical change to the unit in order for the person to enjoy the unit.

Reasonable Accommodation:

Make adjustments to the rules, polices and practices to allow people with disabilities to enjoy the benefits of the programs, as long as the adjustment is not unduly expensive or burdensome.
