Every local jurisdiction that receives federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds must prepare an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing, or AI, every five years.

An Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing evaluates:

• Barriers to fair housing
• Steps the local jurisdiction will take to eliminate those barriers
• Timeframes for achieving fair housing goals and initiative
